Livial 2.5 mg contains tibolone, a prescription hormone-replacement therapy for troublesome symptoms after menopause and, in selected women, prevention of osteoporosis; it is intended only after at least 12 months since the last natural period. Use after an individualized HRT assessment and regular review. It is not a contraceptive; report unexpected vaginal bleeding, a breast change or symptoms of a blood clot or stroke urgently.

Description

Livial contains tibolone 2.5 mg, a synthetic steroid with oestrogenic, progestogenic and androgenic activity used after the menopause.

Uses

Relieves menopausal symptoms such as hot flushes and night sweats
Helps prevent postmenopausal osteoporosis in suitable women

How to Use

Take one tablet daily at the same time, swallowed whole, as prescribed.

Important

Only for women at least 12 months past their last period. Regular medical review and breast screening are required. Not suitable with a history of breast cancer, blood clots or unexplained vaginal bleeding. Prescription medicine – use only under a doctor’s direction.
