Description
Mounjaro contains tirzepatide 15 mg/0.5 ml, a dual GIP and GLP-1 receptor agonist given once weekly by subcutaneous injection.
Uses
- Controls blood glucose in type 2 diabetes
- Produces significant weight reduction alongside diet and activity
How to Use
Inject subcutaneously into the abdomen, thigh or upper arm once weekly on the same day, rotating the injection site. Store in the refrigerator as directed.
Important
Nausea, reduced appetite and constipation are common, especially when the dose increases. Not for type 1 diabetes. Contraindicated with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma. Prescription medicine – use only under a doctor’s direction.
