Description
Folitab contains folic acid 5 mg, the higher-strength dose prescribed in pregnancy for women at increased risk and in folate deficiency.
Uses
- Prevents neural tube defects in high-risk pregnancies
- Treats folate deficiency anaemia
- Used alongside certain medicines that deplete folate
How to Use
Take one tablet daily as directed by your doctor, ideally starting before conception and continuing through the first trimester.
Important
The 5 mg strength is a medical dose, not routine supplementation – the standard preventive dose is 400 mcg. Use as directed by your doctor.
