Description
Ozempic contains semaglutide, a GLP-1 receptor agonist given once weekly by subcutaneous injection; the 0.5 mg pen is used in the dose-escalation phase.

How to Use
Inject subcutaneously once weekly on the same day each week, rotating sites. Store unopened pens in the refrigerator.
Important
Nausea and reduced appetite are common at first and usually settle. Not for type 1 diabetes. Contraindicated with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma. Prescription medicine – use only under a doctor’s direction.
