Description
Protopic contains tacrolimus 0.03%, a topical calcineurin inhibitor that controls eczema without the skin-thinning effects of corticosteroids.
Uses
- Treats moderate to severe atopic eczema, including on the face and eyelids
- Steroid-free, so suitable for delicate areas and longer-term maintenance
How to Use
Apply a thin layer to the affected skin twice daily as prescribed, reducing frequency as the eczema improves.
Important
A burning or warm sensation in the first few days is common and usually settles. Use daily sun protection and avoid sunbeds during treatment. Prescription medicine – use only under a doctor’s direction.
