Roaccutane contains isotretinoin 20 mg, an oral retinoid that reduces oil-gland activity, prescribed for severe or scarring acne.

Take with a fatty meal exactly as prescribed. The dose is calculated by body weight and the course usually lasts several months.

Absolutely contraindicated in pregnancy – reliable contraception is mandatory before, during and for one month after treatment. Causes marked dryness of lips, skin and eyes. Blood tests for liver and lipids are required. Never share or take leftover capsules. Prescription medicine – use only under a doctor’s direction.
